ILS, the daughter company of Inter Cars SA., has just signed two strategic contracts regarding the construction works of Logistics Centre in Zakroczym. 

 

In January, the Company signed a contract with the general contractor of the Logistics Centre in Zakroczym - Goldbeck company.  The contract covers construction works on a modern hall with total storage area of 30,000 sq. m., a three-storey office building with total area of 3,600 sq. m. and development of the surrounding area.  There will be parking lot for around 600 cars, administration buildings and dispatchers' building.  The construction was scheduled in such a way, that from the beginning of September 2015 it will be possible to start assembly of conveyor, sorters and shelves in the warehouse.   The co-signatory of the contract were Wojciech Aleksandrowicz, the president of the board of ILS Sp. z o.o., Julita Pałyska (proxy) and Paul Zimmermann, the member of the board of Goldbeck LTD. 
 
A contract with supplier of conveyor system and sorters was also signed by ILS Sp. z o.o. and German company Beumer GmbH.  The crossbelt sorter and shoe sorter will be installed in Zakroczym.   On behalf of ILS Sp. z o.o., the contract was signed by Wojciech Aleksandrowicz, Tomasz Białach, member of the board of ILS Sp. z o.o. and Martin Mossinkoff, the managing director and Thomas Wiesmann, sales director of Beumer GmbH. 
 
The main warehouse is to be a complete 4-level rack system, 17,000 pallet places and 18,000 shelf places, together with conveyor of total length of 11km, which will be connected with two sorters.
 
CROSSBELT SORTER, which will be delivered to Zakroczym, will make it possible to sort around 20,000 goods per hour.  With the warehouse operating for 24 hours, this means the efficiency of around 480,000 pieced per day.  The sorter will be located on a concrete entresol on the height of 5 metres and area of 8,500 sq. m.  Another one (shoe-sorter) is designed for transport packages, so it will be sorting cardboard boxes, totes and parcels.  It delivers high efficiency (around 2,500-3,500 pieces per hour) and a very high precision of sorting many different kinds of products. It is horizontal, highly efficient sorting system, which conveyor is made of pressed aluminium profiles.
 
In order to make everything work efficiently together, ILS is planning to use modern warehouse operations optimizing systems offered by world famous suppliers of WM systems. Implementing all above solutions in one integrated warehouse of spare parts will be the first such solution in Poland and in Europe.
 
Testing and implementation of the system will start in Spring 2016. 
 
Launch: Summer 2016
 
The Logistics Centre in Zakroczym is to start operating in the second half of 2016 and to take over the main workload, i.e. accepting deliveries from suppliers, orders realization and releasing orders for customers, goods returns , Cross-docking and goods repacking and break bulk.
