Fourth year in a row, Inter Cars SA, in cooperation with its business partners, organizes the Young HR programme, which is supposed to make it easier for pupils of automotive vocational schools to enter their adult working life.

The first school which joined the programme within the 4th edition was Mechanical schools complex named after Stanisław Syroczyński, in Lublin. Official opening ceremony, which took place on 17th April, coincided with the centenary of existence of the school. The importance of the event was emphasised by the presence of VIP Guests. The representation of Inter Cars SA. was composed of, among others, Radosław Grześkowiak, Marketing Director and Sławomir Rybarczyk, Commercial Director and Marek Dębowski, Siedlce Branch Group Director. The town hall was represented by Mirosław Jarosiński, Deputy Director of Education Department. There were also representatives of "Young HR" programme partners, other schools, teachers and the most important participants of the programme, i.e. pupils.

The ceremony was started by the Headteacher, Ryszard Morawski, who welcomed the guests and presented achievements of the school. Next spoke Maciej Bobrowski, Manager of Inter Cars Training Department, responsible for the Young HR programme. He presented the idea of the programme. After that, a contract agreement on cooperation was signed between the school and Inter Cars SA. On behalf of Inter Cars SA. the contract was signed by Radosław Grześkowiak, who also delivered a speech. The programme is meant mostly for you - he spoke directly to the pupils.

The technology is developing rapidly and in some places in the USA one can find vehicles which can participate in the traffic without the need of having a driver, as they are adapted for the needs of blind people. Solutions being currently used in motorization have now more in common with cosmic technology than standard mechanics. That is why, if you do not want to stay far behind, you must use the cutting edge devices said Radosław Grześkowiak.

Market Expectations towards vocational education

The "Young HR" programme perfectly fits current education policy of Lublin city. For several years now we have been supporting vocational education, as this is needed by the labour market. We need engineers, craftsmen, technicians, i.e. professionals who can take up work just after graduating schools. Students and parents also understand this, as proportion of candidates to general and technical schools are becoming equal said Mirosław Jarosiński, representing the town hall.

This shows that the "Young HR" programme was put on a fertile ground, where similar initiatives are treated very seriously and may count on support. This shows that educational authorities of the city are well aware of the requirements of labour market and the effects of their activities are visible. All this shows that the Young HR programme is going the right way and responds to real needs of not only the automotive industry, but also the whole labour market.
