Already this weekend in Auchan shopping malls in Sosnowiec and Katowice a nationwide education campaign Odblaskowi.pl is starting. It is to promote principles of safe pedestrians and cyclists behaviours on the road. During this year's campaign, organizers will pay particular attention to being visible at the pedestrian crossings.

Education Campaign Odblaskowi.pl is addressed to both children and adults. During twenty meetings, which will be held on the following Saturdays and Sundays throughout Poland, the organisers will be arguing that just a small change in the way our behaviour is enough to increase safety.

It is worth starting with improvement of our visibility on the road and pedestrian crossings by wearing reflective elements.  Such a small thing placed on our clothes makes the driver notice us much earlier - even from the distance of 150 meters!  Thanks to this he is able to react much faster and e.g. start braking sooner.

The first meeting of the campaign will be held in Upper Silesia. All those who on Saturday 23 August visit Auchan mall in Sosnowiec and on Sunday 24 August visit Auchan mall in Katowice, shall receive fluorescent bands.  The youngest will be able to take part in educational games, solve crossword puzzles, as well as take part in graphic activities, the topic of which will be safety on the road and behaviour on pedestrian crossings. Whereas for adults there are special education brochures. Additionally at the website www.akademia.odblaskowi.pl there will be an e-learning platform, thanks to which children together with their parents will be able to enhance their knowledge about principles of safe behaviour on the road.

Odblaskowi.pl campaign will be held on Saturday 23 August at the Auchan mall in Sosnowiec, at  Zuzanny street, and on Sunday 24 August at the Auchan mall in Katowice, at 30 Nikodema and Józefa Renców street, between 11:00 and 17:00.

This year it will be the fifth edition of the campaign.  A special patrol of Odblaskowi.pl will cover over 12 thousand kilometres on the territory of Poland, from Rzeszow to Szczecin. Organizers have prepared around 40 thousand fluorescent bands and 40 thousand educational brochures.
Patronage of the campaign is taken by Auchan Malls, Carfleet and Perfect Service, QService, Q-Service Premium and Q-Service Moto with Q-Service Truck garage chains.  Media patronage is taken by Fleet and Auto Świat magazines.
