On Wednesday, May the 27th, the Erection Act of construction of European Logistics Centre of ILS Inter Cars SA. Group will be signed.  The ceremony will be visited by:  Janusz Piechociński, deputy prime minister, minister for the economy; Adam Struzik, marshal of Mazovian district; Jacek Kozłowski, Mazovian voivode and local politicians and social activists. The Board of Inter Cars S.A. will also be present.

 
During the ceremony, Janusz Piechociński shall award a Medal for Contribution to the economy of Poland to Inter Cars SA and separately to Krzysztof Oleksowicz, founder and former president of the board of directors of the company.
 
European Logistics Centre ILS
A Medal for Contribution to the economy of Poland is awarded by the minister for the economy as a reward for contribution to the development of the economy of Poland. 
Deputy prime minister, Janusz Piechociński reminds that medals are awarded for outstanding achievements in innovation, promotion of Polish industry, implementation of new technologies, performing testing and development activities and implementing effective management methods. 
– „Managers who receive this reward have crucial contribution in setting top standards of running a business in Poland, and activities of their companies have positive influence on competitiveness of our economy”– said the deputy prime minister.
On that day, the Warmian-Mazurian Special Economic Zone shall start its existence, sub-zone Zakroczym.
 
The aim of ILS, daughter company of Inter Cars SA., is to create a strategic logistics point, based on innovative technological solutions, which is to increase the possibilities of flow of goods substantially. It shall be the ILS European Logistics Centre in Zakroczym. The centre will be realizing the following tasks: receipt of goods from suppliers, order realization, order picking, breaking bulk and returns of goods, and cross-docking. The centre will be operating more efficiently not only because of locating all logistics activities in one place, but also thanks to technical solutions used in it. The new warehouse is to increase efficiency of goods flow and make it possible to render logistics services, what will directly influence the potential of the whole Inter Cars Group.  It will be the main warehouse of the whole Inter Cars logistics. 
 
The ILS European Logistics Centre shall be composed of three halls with total storage area of 40,000 sq.m.   A new, modern warehouse hall with storage area of 30,000 sq.m. shall be constructed especially for the needs of the logistics centre, and there are also two smaller halls with area of 5,000 sq.m.  There will also be a three-storey office building with total area of 3,600 sq.m., administrative buildings, dispatchers' building and a parking for almost 600 vehicles.  
 
The main warehouse is to be a complete 4-level rack system, 17,000 pallet places and 18,000 shelf places, together with conveyor of total length of 11km, which will be connected with two modern sorters. The hall will be 10 metres high. The construction was scheduled in such a way, that from the beginning of September 2015 it will be possible to start assembly of a conveyor, sorters and rack system in the warehouse. The rack system will be delivered by Wandalex S.A.  It will be mounted on the area of 14,370 m2 on one level.  On all four levels it will give a total 56,000 sq.m. of storage area!  The weight of the rack system is almost 1,800 tons. 
The two smaller warehouse halls with total area of 5,000 sq.m. will be used for storing flammable materials, body parts and tyres and wheel rims.
