Mechanical Complex of Schools no. 1 in Krakow educates great specialists, who without any problems find a good job. The school participates in the Polish national program "Young HR".
Education and business are coming more and more closer to each other. Schools at each level educate specialists needed in the economy, entrepreneurs are active in development of teaching programmes, invest in teaching equipment, take young people to practice and internship, and later employ them. Such cooperation brings benefits to both parties.
One of the forms of cooperation between the business and education is the national education program "Young HR". For the third time now Inter Cars SA organizes in cooperation with its trade partners a programme for pupils of automotive secondary schools. The programme is supposed to be a king of a springboard thanks to which young people will have easier start in their business career.
It has just been joined by the Mechanical Complex of Schools No. 1 named after Szczepan Humbert in Krakow. This well known school with 180-year-old tradition has signed an agreement on cooperation in "Young HR" educational program. So in this school we have created a regional training centre for future professionals in automotive field. The equipment is worth PLN 100k and free trainings for pupils and teachers are provided by inter Cars SA and partners of the company.
- Launching in our school a modern lab for training future car mechanics is a good example of German model of support for education by the industry. So the offer for young people will be even more interesting," says the Headteacher of ZSM 1 - Bozena Mayer-Gawron.
- The "Young HR" programme is not any kind of charity but a well planned process of training. The market needs well qualified employees. Currently Inter Cars employs around 5,000 people and is still developing. Thanks to modern equipment and trainings there are open opportunities for young people, and therefore it will be much easier for them to find work in a global market," says Witold Kmieciak, Member of the Board of Inter Cars SA.
In nationwide "Young HR" programme there are already 10 schools in Poland (Krakow's "Humbert" is the first in the Lesser-Poland Region), 600 pupils participated in the trainings. Each of 10 schools received equipment worth PLN 100k and a training package worth PLN 30,000. And what is the most important, young people gain knowledge from the first hand, from highly skilled experts from well known companies.
