Almost 350 representatives of independent automotive aftermarket met on 27 November in the ministry of the economy at the conference of Automotive Spare Parts Distributors and Manufacturers Association, in order to summarize another year of the industry and take up a discussion on perspectives for development of the automotive market.

- The hit of Polish economy are automotive spare parts and accessories. Since I am representing the sector policy, you can be sure that your voice will be heard. Here, I wish to oblige the sector represented by SDCM to work methodically and consequently. I hope that it will be possible to work out rational ideas, for which the point of beginning will be reliable analysis and reports, informing impartially about current state and consequences of implementing the legislative changes - ensured Janusz Piechociński.

Shortly afterwards, Robert Kierzek, the President of Inter Cars SA. and Alfred Franke, the President of the Automotive Spare Parts Manufacturers and Distributors Association talked about motorization in Poland and in Europe. Another speakers delivered presentations on the competition on the market of automotive spare parts, telematics, repair clause guaranteeing the market balance and law regulations having influence on the independent automotive aftermarket.  Also a debate was a part of the conference. It was on different aspects of threats for the independent aftermarket. The most of attention was given to e-commerce.
