During 14th Expo Inter Cars, traditionally there was an annual meeting of the Board of Inters Cars with media and exhibitors. Information on financial results of the company was given as well. Also selected projects and initiatives which had success in 2014.

During 14 EXPO of Spare Parts, Tools and Garage Equipment organized by Inter Cars SA, there was a press conference of the Board. Many topics were discussed, not only interesting for the customers, employees and business partners of the company, but also for key investors.

The conference was attended by lots of journalists and key partners of the company. All visitors were welcome by Joanna Król (manager of PR and Marketing Department) and Radosław Grześkowiak (Marketing Director), who shortly described the formula in which the meeting was supposed to be realized. As promised, visual communication was the key - long talks of the Members of the Management Board were substituted by video-presentations and movies.

On special places there were the President of the Management Board, Robert Kierzek, Vice-President, Krzysztof Soszyński and members of the management board, Krzysztof Oleksowicz (founder of Inter Cars), Witold Kmieciak and Wojciech Twaróg. A short movie presented each of them, than there was a presentation of the profile of the company, and also it was reminded that Inter Cars SA. was rewarded with the title of the Stock Exchange Company of the Year.

Future of Inter Cars

Firstly current results of the company were presented. -"In the first 8 months of this year we have reached an increase of 10%" - said Krzysztof Soszyński. A discussion on the topic of construction of the new logistic centre in Zakroczym was also started. Video presentation showed the participants of the conference a modern sorter, which is the most modern solution in the world. Such a tool will be implemented in the new logistic infrastructure of Inter Cars in Zakroczym. - "These types of sorters are implemented only by the biggest players of the American market " - informed Krzysztof Oleksowicz.

Using them does not only make the process of sorting faster, but also generates tangible savings. It is not only about money, which we will manage to save thanks to this investment and using modern machinery, but also about the fact that the project of the logistic centre was joined to Special Warmian-Mazurian Economic Zone. Thanks to this the Company can count on regular tax relieves. The new investment also means 1,500 new employment.

Robert Kierzek, CEO of the Company discussed the perspectives:

- "We are fully focussed on the markets from the Baltic See to the Balkans. There is still a lot to do. We need to fill in the spaces, which are still not properly organized in some of the countries, and also develop the logistics side of the business. Without you, without people involved in day-to-day operations of the Company, all those successes would not be possible - said the President. We are aware of the fact that it is people who are behind the Company's success, and we are investing in their development. We mean not only our own employees, but also the whole industry, which we support by e.g. Young HR programme."

One Stop Shop Idea


In further part of the conference the "one stop shop" idea was presented. It is about the place in which the customer can get a full and complete service, with no need of driving from place to place. One place where one can settle everything one needs in particular category.

-"We are offering easy access to all parts, necessary tools and wide range of garage equipment. Additionally we are offering know-how which we share in the form of trainings, and also complete project combining purchase of product and service using Motointegrator.pl platform." - said Witold Kmieciak.

Regarding Motointegrator, more was said by Wojciech Twaróg:

- "In 2014 we have directed 200 thousand service activities to the garages. This way we are not only supporting our partners, but we also have a chance of being much closer to the customer. Complementarity of the offer of Motointegrator and Inter cars was also pointed out. Internet changed the model of purchasing in many branches of industry, and Motointegrator project is supposed to prepare Inter Cars SA. and cooperating garages for such changes in automotive industry."

During the conference also the role of IT department was emphasised in the process of development of Inter Cars.

-"Own IT resources are very important. Only thanks to team work of our specialist we were able to handle one of the most important IT changes in the history of the company quite quickly." - said Krzysztof Soszyński.

New projects

In the second part of the conference, meant mostly for the media, several Inter Cars S.A. projects were presented. As the first, the new Director of Feber Company was presented - Andrzej Kajda, who is official on the position since 1st September 2014. A. Kajda presented a bit of history of semi-trailer manufacturer and milestones, thanks to which the company managed to become one of the leading semi-trailer manufacturers within 10 years of its activity. It is worth to mention that during the EXPO weekend, Inter Cars had two important anniversaries. The first one is already mentioned 10th anniversary of Feber, and the second one is 15th anniversary of Q-Service Truck.

Further speaker was Tomasz Jachimkowski, Deputy Director of IT Division in Inter Cars SA.. At first he presented B2B channel from 2004 till today. It was a smooth introduction to presentation of new IC_Katalog which will have its premiere soon. New IC_Katalog Online is not only presentation of product portfolio, but also a knowledge encyclopedia for mechanics. One can use a free of charge price estimation or check estimated time repairs of particular elements.

Krzysztof Król, Deputy Director of Motorbike Market talked about the specific of bikes. He presented sales of bikes using engine capacity division and forecast for the future.

Coordinator of Development and Export of Garage Equipment - Wojciech Jagodziński, basing on the numbers said that Inter Cars SA. has the widest product range of tools and garage equipment in Poland. Also the company offers customers support and loyalty programmes which allow for discounts. All this turns into a forecast income for 2014 at around PLN 150m. This means that within the last 3 years income was tripled.

Also Jerzy Maliński spoke - member of the establishing committee of MOVEO - Automotive Employers' Association. The main idea behind this project is working to improve safety of automotive industry in two aspects: safety on the road and economic security of companies from automotive industry. Inter Cars wants the organization to be joined by as many representatives as possible, in particular garages.

At the end of the meeting there was a contract signing between Motointegrator chain and PKN Orlen. As a part of realization of the contract it will be possible to pay cashless for garage and repair services in 500 associated garages. Everything will be realized with fleet card, which is offered by our partner. The contract was signed by: Robert Kierzek - President of the Board of Managers of Inter Cars SA and Paweł Wydymus - Director of Fuel Sales Development Office PKN Orlen.
