The Warsaw Stock Exchange announced the composition of RESPECT Index, which includes socially responsible companies.

RESPECT is the first index of socially responsible companies in Central and Eastern Europe. 28 companies operating in line with the best management standards regarding corporate governance, information governance and investor relations, including ecological, employee and social factors qualified to this year's edition. One of the debuting companies was Inter Cars SA.

–  Transparency in operations and communication of our company with its surrounding environment is one of our priorities, which we are trying to implement on every level of the Group’s activity. This applies to our B2B customers, looking for support in spare parts selection and delivery, as well as to our suppliers, whose products are in our product range. Everyone, who is somehow connected with Inter Cars is treated by us as a partner, which means transparency and professional approach. This way we are authentic in what we do. Presence in this year's rank is an acknowledgement of our efforts – said Piotr Zamora, Member of the Management Board of Inter Cars SA.

–  We would like to thank our Customers, Partners, Investors and Employees for their trust and cooperation, which led us to this honourable rank! It is a great distinction, but first and foremost a great obligation. We wish to continue development in this area, gain knowledge and experience from the best - summarized Krzysztof Soszyński, Vice-President of the Management Board of Inter Cars SA.

This year’s edition of the index, besides Inter Cars SA., also included such companies as: Agora, Apator, Bank Handlowy w Warszawie, Bank Millennium, BOŚ Bank, Bank Pekao, Bank Zachodni WBK, Budimex, Elektrobudowa, ENERGA, Fabryki Mebli „FORTE”, Giełda Papierów Wartościowych w Warszawie, Grupa Azoty, Grupa LOTOS, ING Bank Śląski, Inter Cars, Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa, KGHM Polska Miedź, Lubelski Węgiel Bogdanka, mBank, Orange Polska, PCC Rokita, PGE, PGNiG, PZU, Tauron PE, Trakcja PRKiI, Zespół Elektrociepłowni Wrocławskich Kogeneracja.

Only the companies with the highest liquidity can aspire to the index, i.e. included in indexes WIG20, mWIG40 or sWIG80. Companies which are included in the index are a subject of a three-stage verification performed by the WSE and the Polish Association of Listed Companies, regarding performance of proper communication with the market, using current and interim reports and their websites. The third condition is socially responsible behaviour towards the environment, society and employees, which is analysed on the basis of a survey verified by an auditor of the project - Deloitte Company.
