Text of the report
The Management Board of Inter Cars S.A. hereby reports information received from one of the Company’s shareholder to the effect that at the next General Shareholders Meeting convened for June 10th 2010 Mr Piotr Płoszajski will be named as a candidate to the Company’s Supervisory Board.

In a statement, Mr Płoszajski agreed to the nomination and communicated that he was not engaged in any activities competitive to the Company’s business nor was he a partner in any partnership under civil law or another type of partnership, or a member of a governing body of any corporation or any other legal entity which would conduct activities competitive to Inter Cars’ business. Mr Płoszajski has not been entered in the Register of Insolvent Debtors, maintained pursuant to the Polish National Court Register Act.

The candidate’s curriculum vitae is presented below.

PIOTR PŁOSZAJSKI
Mr Płoszajski graduated in management from the University of Łódź and Harvard Business School in the US. He received scholarships from the Ford Foundation, the British Academy, the CNRS in Paris, the Swiss Foundation, the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, DAAD, research scholarship at Sloan School of Management, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA, and others.

In 1971–1998, he worked as a research fellow at the Polish Academy of Sciences (Polska Akademia Nauk, PAN), in 1987–1991 he was Director of the PAN Institute of Philosophy and Sociology and in 1993–1998 he worked as Director General of PAN.
Professor and Head of the Department of Management Theory at the Warsaw School of Economics (Szkoła Główna Handlowa, SGH).  In 2005–2008, Deputy-Rector for International Relations. In 2003, Mr Płoszajski was voted by students “The Inspiration of the Year”, in 2005 – “The Best Teacher at SGH”, and in 2009 – “The Best Executive MBA Instructor.” Long-time member of the CEMS (Community of European Management Schools) Executive Committee and Academic Committee. In 1998–2008, the CEMS Academic Director at SGH.

Founder of the Polish-Japanese Management Centre at SGH and Chairman of its Board. Co-founder and lecturer at the Warsaw Executive MBA at SGH run jointly with the Carlson School of Management, USA.

In 1999–2005, member of the Faculty and lecturer at the Consortium for Enhancement of Ukrainian Management Education (CEUME) – USAID, the American training programme for university lecturers in the Ukraine.

Author of over 220 publications, including several books in English (one of them, “The Polish Route from Socialism”, published in the US by M.E. Sharpe). He has recently been specialising in New Economy, impact of technology on business models, hypercompetitive strategies, prosumption and marketing for new customer. In 1990–2005, co-author of numerous international research studies in the field of new post-socialist entrepreneurship, knowledge management, innovativeness, tacit knowledge and others.

Lecturer and speaker at several dozens of universities and research centres in Europe, the US, Japan and New Zealand. Member of the Advisory Board at the Salzburg Seminar. Advisor and lecturer in many Polish and international corporations including Samsung, HP, PZU S.A., PKO S.A., BreBank, Millenium Bank, Kredyt Bank, Orlen, Lotos, MCX, MasterCard, Mars, Masterfood, Microsoft, UNIBEP, TP S.A., Orange, Era, PGF, ING, Sybase, Wolters Kluwer, Eureko, P&G, McKinsey, Polbank, Fortis Bank, Expander, Three Mousquetaires, Polish Security Printing Works (PWPW), Kompania Piwowarska and Lafarge.
Co-founder and member of the Polish-Japanese Economic Committee in Poland. Member of the Supervisory Boards at the Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi (Poland) and Infovide-Matrix S.A.

Since 2000, Adjunct Professor in International Business Studies at the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota, the US. Since 2003, Visiting Professor at the Kiev Mohyla Business School in Kiev. Since 2004, Visiting Professor at the International School of Management in Dortmund.
