In Hilton Hotel in Warsaw, on 23 June there was a conference of Investor Relations of Inter Cars SA. Albeit the conference takes place regularly, this time the occasion was absolutely unique. Inter Cars is just celebrating its quarter-century of activity. During this time, from a small business located on 300 square metres of its first warehouse, the company transformed into the fifth power in Europe, and tenth in the whole world and is just launching its biggest ever logistics project - construction of ILS European Logistics and Development Centre in Zakroczym.

 

Inter Cars, a Polish company, which took advantage of its potential in a very special way and became a giant of the European market of automotive spare parts.  Crucial for the history were the rules, which has remained unchanged for all the years of its activity.  Innovation, organic growth based on partnership and care for creating added values, are slogans which were the shining star leading company founders when creating and developing the product range for the customers, as well as when creating an extensive distribution chain in the country and abroad.  Inter Cars keeps creating and implementing new solutions, which meet constantly changing needs of the market operated by 378 distribution branches, and satisfy them in full.
 
A turning point in the history of the company was the year 2004, when the company went public on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.  The share price increased from PLN 23 in May 2004 to PLN 222 in June 2015. After 10 years of presence on the stock market, Inter Cars was rewarded with the title of Stock Exchange Company of the Year, and its value was calculated on the level of PLN 3.5bn. Such a result became a natural confirmation of being on the right way and strategy of operation, as well as the point for further development of the Group.
 
Bridge to the future
 
Founders of Inter Cars Company are trying to put into practice the leading slogan of their operations:  "Together we are changing the motoring industry". In the nearest future, the company wants to concentrate its activities on two areas.
 
The first one is the logistics centre which is being constructed in Zakroczym, one of the most modern centres in Europe, with storage area of 40k sqm.  The investment is based on innovative technological solutions, which are to increase substantially the efficiency and flow of goods between suppliers and customers of Inter Cars.  ILS European Logistics Centre
 
The centre will be realizing the following tasks: receipt of goods from suppliers, order realization, order picking, breaking bulk and returns of goods, and cross-docking. It will be operating more efficiently not only because of locating all logistics activities in one place, but also thanks to technical solutions used in it. The new premises, which are to become the main warehouse of the whole logistics chain if Inter Cars Group are also a door to global development of the company. 
 
The second area which the company wants to develop is expanding relations with customers by means of new technologies. The main partners of the company are repair garages operating in dynamically changing business environment.  Their services are used by more and more aware, challenging customers, submerged in web technologies.  Inter Cars asked a question - are our partners ready to meet the requirements of such a consumer? 
 
The answer to this question and to the new needs of the end customer became the new One Stop Shop programme which is supported with hep for the garages in building customer relations on-line.  A starting point for further operations became Motointegrator.pl platform, which is visited by 500,000 even up to one million drivers monthly, of which 25 thousand purchase services each month. Basing on this experience, Inter Cars Company constructed three further platforms which are helping repair garages reaching the customers and meeting their needs: 
  • Moto-usługi.com is a ready for autumn launch platform which is to merge the needs of servicing garages and drivers. It is enough for the driver to describe his need on the portal, and within maximum two hours the driver will be delivered an offer of realizing the need from three garages from his closest area. 
  • Motowygoda.p l is a new, pilot programme of Inter Cars realized in shopping malls. It is enough to take your car to a particular shopping mall or use a door-to-door service and when the consumer is doing shopping; the garage will deal with his car. 
  • Motointegrator Partner is a renewable certificate given to garages which meet the criteria set by Inter Cars. Today, cooperation is started by 5,000 repair garages.  In the coming year the number of garages will be increasing and Inter Cars company will be creating brand recognition and recognition of the certificate, which will give the driver assurance that the garage is recommended by a company with long-lasting experience. 
 
After 25 years of operation, Inter Cars Company is a partner operating by the rules win-win, putting added values first, instead of competing with prices, helping its partners in development and launching B2C activities only as a set of benefits for the customers from B2B area.  Inter Cars is a company reacting to changes and still looking for a new bridge to the future.  It is a company ready for tomorrow.
